That sounds like an interesting book. As I'm reading through this other one (having a hard time getting past chapter two), I keep thinking, "Do you really think the central theme of scripture is judgment?" And where does anything but forgiveness absolve anyone from guilt?

You might really enjoy a book that I'm currently reading, "The Child in Christian Thought" ed. Marcia Bunge.

Coming from a Reformed point-of-view, it is gratifying to see how throughout history, Reformed leaders taught that children were sinners in need of a Saviour, rather than sinners in need of a spanking.

Awesome post. I wholeheartedly agree. Our worth comes in our creation and individiality, not in our works. That's where doing in the infirm and old comes in. If you aren't "valuable" in your productivity, you are dispensable. God gives us intrinsic value in our individuality. He's so smart. :) Lord help us see others for their true value.
