To anyone who actually read (or attempted to read) my post yesterday, I’m not sure whether to offer my congratulations, my sincerest appreciation or my condolensces. Aside from being called “really amazingly ignorant” by someone over on reddit, I seem to have gotten off easy with my little venting. Probably because it was too long for anyone to actually bother with reading.
While the conversation perhaps started out on a not-so-positive note (and I was surprised she came back after a comment like that…those types of commenters rarely seem to return), she was quite conversational. I enjoy those discussions, even if they seem of little purpose. Anyway, I forgot to add the link to her actual blog. Obviously, she comes from a very different worldview than I, but the photographs are beautiful and well-worth the trip over just to look at them. This one is my favorite.

Howdy Dana,
This isn’t exactly on topic, though, two things: One, Mises wrote an excellent book “Socialism” and F.A. Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom”, is another great work.
And, Two, Please do not heed that rude missive from “gene berman”, left to you on the mises blog thread. He’s simply wrong, in more ways than one.
Sorry for the sloppy syntax, in a bit of a rush~.
Sincerely,
Mark E Hoffer.
I have lost track of the thread, I think, but rude comments on other people blogs don’t bother me much. Rude comments on my own don’t really bother me. Thanks for the book suggestions…I’ll check into them.
well, I found it again, anyway. It is always nice to be told one is too ingonrant to bother with something, but I am aware of my own ignorance on that subject, hence my introducing my original comment the way I did.
But there is only one way to learn, and it isn’t by talking to other people who know as much or less than I! I’ll check into the books you suggested. They sound interesting…I particularly like the title of the second one.
