So what did they do? They spent a million or so to buy apple laptops for every kid in this low performing elementary school. <br/><br/>I remember talking to one of the school board members about this, and she was so proud of what they were doing. I asked her what was on the computers...what kind of software they were using. She said, "I don't know...I don't know much about computers. But this new Director of Technology knows so much more...he's on the cutting edge of these things."<br/><br/>Turns out this Director of Technology bought all those computers through his brother's business!!!!Cha-ching!<br/><br/>I agree with you, kids don't need all that stuff.
