Warning labels

Every so often, someone (half) jokingly wishes that children came with instruction manuals.

My little Peanut didn’t, but she did come with a warning label in the form of her older brother. Every time someone comes up to take a peek at her, he puts up his hand and says very authoritatively,

No! Babies are very breakable.

My oldest would jump in front of his baby sister with arms extended to protect her and announce, “The baby is not a toy!” Too funny.

Think he’s bad now, just wait until she reaches dating age…

My husband wants a very menacing gun of some sort by then. Just so that he can be cleaning it when young gentlemen arrive.

I wanted to get my daughters each a big dog to accompany them everywhere.

And attack brother might work, too.

First time I went over to pick up a girl for a date (I was in high school at the time), her dad had some railroad spikes on the table.

He said, “These are so I can nail you to the side of the house as an example to the other boys.’

I said, “Can you put me on the West side? I love a pretty sunset.”

He really liked me after that.

He sounds very sweet & protective! My son was like that with his little sister - for a while! Now they pester each other constantly…

    Joe,

That could work…my hubby works for the railroad.

Yes, Michelle, he is very protective. And he tells me daily (hourly?) how much he loves his sister.
