I think it needs a lot of changes, some simple, some major. It never will be able to do what too many expect it to do (replace parents), but it certainly can do a better job than it is doing! But this one especially rang true to me when thinking of my own upbringing and the confusion that resulted from being in a Christ-centered school but not seeing enough Christ-centered living at home, or really in the community as a whole. It's no wonder I'm so convicted to ensure my kids have as much consistency as possible and want to keep them home with me: their home-life and school-life will share the same standards.
