Update: The computer’s ailment seems to have been more closely related to appendicitis. After a modemectomy, it is working just fine. Since we use an external modem rather than the internal modem, all should be well.

While we were gone, our computer appears to have gone into complete cardiac arrest. Normal resuscitation efforts have failed and it is completely comatose. I will be trasporting it to medical experts in Kansas shortly for it to undergo open heart surgery.

We are still hoping for a full recovery, but the prognosis is not good. We are hoping a simple battery transplant will do the trick.

I will be back online when it recovers (a couple of days) or is replaced (a couple of weeks).

In the meantime, I will answer all of your kind emails, comments, etc. from the waiting room in Kansas after our arrival.
