Finally, this blog shall be able to accept trackbacks. Most of the problem was even noticing that they were not being accepted. Heather of An Untraditional Home kindly took a moment to figure out the problem. They were not able to navigate the captcha code.
Trackback? What’s that?
Essentially, it is a way to let another blogger know you have just linked to one of his entries. It puts a link back to your entry in the comment box of the discussed entry, notifying the blogger and all his readers that someone else has written more on the subject. Wordpress seems to do this automatically. At least I have never sought out trackback urls and done anything with them since beginning with Wordpress, and have noted that other blogs still seem to be picking up the pings Wordpress sends out.
Blogger is another story. But, as with many things, there is a workaround. Wizbang has a nice standalone trackback pinger that you can use if your blogging format does not automatically ping the blogs you have linked to.
If you never have used trackbacks before, take a moment to try them out. What better way is there to participate in the conversation?
Principled Discovery is a place to stop and discuss news and information related to faith, family and particularly education. Pour yourself a cup of tea and join the conversation!

Don’t the little things make you happy? I will have to send you some trackbacks now.
And thanks for the reminder. Sometimes I forget to add them.
Yes, always the little the little things. It has meant a tad more spam, but luckily they are mostly being held for moderation. So long as that continues, I shall be pretty happy!
