And it is good to be back. Today’s problem was a simple one. Just as I gave up, I switched the permalink structure to the default and suddenly the site worked. It continued to work when I switched it back.
No clue why, but that is of little consequence. I am happy.
Hello, world!
Principled Discovery is a place to stop and discuss news and information related to faith, family and particularly education. Pour yourself a cup of tea and join the conversation!

Glad to see you are back up and running!
Thank you for your comment. I am enjoying my new home. I love the hsb community, but we are already paying for the url, so I thought it would be fun to have my own place. WP has really grown on me too.
blessings~
btw… can I switch my blog url over on the Homeschooling Network or do you have to do that? I didn’t find where I could.
Um…good question. I’ll have to check. I might have to delete you and re-invite you. I know I changed someone before, but I can’t remember how!
Yay, your back. You’ve been missing the Great Subway Contest Crisis of 2008. Granted, it’s not earthquakes or cyclones, but still: athletic equipment!
Good to have you back.
Oh, believe me. I have not missed it. Shall I post on that or on the other thing sitting in my draft box?
well, it depends on your approach. Level headed reason doesn’t seem to be gaining any traction. So you can either join the hyperventilating crowd or the mock and incite crowd. Good times.
Aw, man. I don’t do either particularly well. I will let you classify the result.
I have to go with level headed reason. Where’s the fun in that? BTW: I can’t get your feed to work. I tried all the options available, but got nothing. (I use bloglines, if that helps.) Since none of my other feeds are affected, I have to conclude that you are purposefully excluding me. I’m going to boycott!
Yes, I forgot to make the contest announcement:
“My feed is available to all except those using Bloglines.”
The feed is working, so I don’t have a clue. I’ll check to see if bloglines and feedburner are having issues…usually it is feedster that causes the upsets.
Either that or it may be that bloglines for some reason is stuck somewhere with the old server. I’ll see what I can find.
well, it appears to be bloglines. It comes up fine in google reader. I’ll see what else I can find.
OK, in the corner of my feed on bloglines, you should see a little red exclamation point. If you click on it, it says,
Bloglines has encountered an error trying to fetch the latest version of this feed. Bloglines handles errors automatically, no action is required by you. The error was:
The feed does not appear to exist. This can be caused by the feed URL being incorrect, or it can be caused by a configuration issue with the server hosting the feed. If this error continues, you should check the feed URL and, if it is wrong, subscribe to the correct URL.
So it is a Bloglines–server issue. Since the feed does indeed exist and other programs are recognizing it, I am guessing this will resolve itself.
Resolved! Whew, I was feeling excluded.
