It’s weird how small the world seems over the internet. My prayers go out to the Drews family.

I found out late last night. Then I could barely sleep.
It’s strange how the internet makes you feel connected with people you never met. But it will never replace the hug of a friend. I was glad to hear they had close friends to cry with.
Oh how sad. I dont know these people nor have I ever read her blog but my thoughts and prayers are with them.
Just heartbreaking!!! And at the same time it makes you want to hold and appreciate your own children all the more.
Yeah, I read a blog post about it maybe an hour after it happened. It was some pretty terrible news.
She is also quietcajun on the MOMYs board. I hope the authorities leave the family alone so they can heal. Prayers for the family. :[
Mrs. C., I know what you mean. It is hard because you look at a death like this and you know it was preventable. But then, I have four children and I know things can happen pretty quickly. At the fair, I stopped to tie a shoe and my five year old was gone. I just got that feeling of panic welling up in my chest when I found him watching a remote control helicopter four booths from where we were standing.
Nothing happened. Usually nothing does. But it is in those moments we have all had as parents where something could have happened.

I want to clarify that Marshy is NOT Quietcajun on the MOMYS board. Quietcajun on the MOMYS board and on HSB is Christina. She also blogs on hsba and at GGM.
Marshy is hsb/drewfamilytx, and she blogs at Heart of the Matter. I am not sure she is on the MOMYS board.

Ok, I’m not trying to be insensitive or anything, but I’ve been seeing references to this all over the homeschooling blogosphere and this is bugging me. What exactly *happened* to the little guy? I mean, healthy 3 year old boys don’t just up and pass away.
