I have made a post asking for people to cover the Drews family in prayer for 24 hours leading up to the 25th of September, marking one month without "Dozer". Please stop by and add your name if you'd like, and share it on your blog for others that might be willing to "help" this family through prayer.

Thanks,
Amy (aka Dandelion Seeds)

Admin note: dug this out of my email box after accidentally deleting it...sorry!

Ok, I'm not trying to be insensitive or anything, but I've been seeing references to this all over the homeschooling blogosphere and this is bugging me. What exactly *happened* to the little guy? I mean, healthy 3 year old boys don't just up and pass away. :(

Aaah! Lady Celt, I am so sorry. I just accidentally deleted your comment when I was trying to edit mine. Argh.

Essentially, she asked what happened to Christian.

At the moment, I can't say. I will later, when the family is ready.

Hi Dana~
I want to clarify that Marshy is NOT Quietcajun on the MOMYS board. Quietcajun on the MOMYS board and on HSB is Christina. She also blogs on hsba and at GGM.
Marshy is hsb/drewfamilytx, and she blogs at Heart of the Matter. I am not sure she is on the MOMYS board.

blessings,
Jacque

Mrs. C., I know what you mean. It is hard because you look at a death like this and you know it was preventable. But then, I have four children and I know things can happen pretty quickly. At the fair, I stopped to tie a shoe and my five year old was gone. I just got that feeling of panic welling up in my chest when I found him watching a remote control helicopter four booths from where we were standing.

Nothing happened. Usually nothing does. But it is in those moments we have all had as parents where something could have happened.

She is also quietcajun on the MOMYs board. I hope the authorities leave the family alone so they can heal. Prayers for the family. :[

Yeah, I read a blog post about it maybe an hour after it happened. It was some pretty terrible news.
