It is hard because you look at a death like this and you know it was preventable. But then, I have four children and I know things can happen pretty quickly. At the fair, I stopped to tie a shoe and my five year old was gone. I just got that feeling of panic welling up in my chest when I found him watching a remote control helicopter four booths from where we were standing. Nothing happened. Usually nothing does. But it is in those moments we have all had as parents where something could have happened. Mrs. C., I know what you mean.
