That was a good first effort. Thanks for sharing your homeschool day.

Yay, it’s up! It’s great to *hear* your voice and have a virtual view of you in your element. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got to get my video camera software uploaded on our laptop before I can get mine up, but the kids are using it to watch a movie on Netflix right now, so it’ll have to wait until later tonight.

It was great to “meet” you! I’m glad you participated! This has been so much fun getting to know everyone!

  4. Darcy @ LWM3B, October 25, 2008:

Okay, so my very favorite part… is when your daughter becomes fascinated with her belly. That was so stinkin’ cute.

This has been my fav meme ever at HOTM. Thanks for participating, it was so much fun to “meet” you and the other hs’s vids that I’ve seen so far.

    What a cute little interruption!

you’re so cute & your house is SO tidy!!

  6. Spookygirl, October 25, 2008:

I love it! Glad to know I am not the only one with half finished projects here and there ;)

  7. Renae, October 25, 2008:

You have the cutest interruptions! And what a good camera man. ;) He even got the dog in the video. I tried to get my husband to help, but he was too tired.

I’m so happy to have a face to go with your voice in my head. You become less imaginary all the time. :D

  8. Shauna, October 25, 2008:

It’s fun to see and hear you! I might have to play along.

  9. Dana, October 25, 2008:

    Please do, Shauna.

    Yeah! I’m no longer a figment of Renae’s imagination. I’m a real girl! I’m a real girl!

And I agree, Darcy. Baby belly buttons are the best. :)

    Thank you everyone!

I love Mouse’s laugh. You just can’t help smiling when you hear it.

  11. Mrs darling, October 26, 2008:

Just gotta say I loved this! Homeschool Interrupted is really what homeschool is. It would be institutionalized school like a public school if it ran without interruptions. I read the word interruption whenever I read the word homeschool. The two are synonymous! LOL Thanks for this peek at your life.

  12. Marsha, October 26, 2008:

I’m so glad that I got to meet you, Dana! I agree with everyone else, your interruptions are precious!

  13. Dana, October 26, 2008:

We love our interruptions around here, even if they mean we never get things done quite when we expect. :)

  14. ChristineMM, October 26, 2008:

    That was great! So real!

I loved it when your little one was inspecting her belly button. Hysterical. :)

  15. Dana Hanley, October 27, 2008:

She does that a lot…but it is such a sweet one, I don’t blame her!

  16. Luke Holzmann, October 27, 2008:

Nice to see you and not just read your great blog!

    ~Luke

  17. Dana, October 27, 2008:

Even without any movie making experience? :) Thanks!

  18. Angela, October 27, 2008:

That was cool to be able to get to see you in action!

    Your kiddos are cute too.

BTW, I don’t know if I ever mentioned this to you but my husband has UC.

Keep up the good work home school Mom! : )

    Hi Dana,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your video was so fun and I am so glad to know I am not the only one who has interuptions. For us it is a natural part of life LOL. And your interuptions are too cute!

Dana, So nice to meet you! I am happy that you have been so honest about your interruptions. I confess that our home has interruptions too. In fact, I have been doing Before FIAR with Beverly and David and I can spend two to three weeks in each book because we get off task ~ but even while off task we are learning something.

  21. Amy Bayliss, October 29, 2008:

Oh how cute are they? Dana you are awesome and I’m so glad that you shared your day with us. We should do this more often!

  22. Jacque, October 29, 2008:

Very nice to “meet” you. I have seen your face, and I have heard your voice, but this was nice. Your children are sweet. It is also nice to see you don’t always finish your lapbooks either! HA!

Thanks for a peek into your world!
    blessings!
    ~J

  23. Dana Hanley, October 29, 2008:

Thanks, everyone. And it was fun to do, even with the interruptions. Cameraman-husband being probably the biggest “interruption” in our schedule. :)
