Over 100 free online art courses

More mental stimulation while I recuperate:  Over 100 free online art courses.  If you check any of them out, let me know.  Art is probably my weakest subject.  Let Renae of Life Nurturing Education know as well, because she is pondering a course but desires a bit of partner accountability.

Also, if you happen to have a good book suggestion for a five year old boy and a three year old girl to do a lapbbok on that would be great.  I want to do something special with them while their sister is away since I rarely do lessons focused on them and I know they’ll be missing sister.

Now I’m going back to sleep.  I was hopeful yesterday, but woke up feeling worse again this morning.

So are you going to do a class? I don’t really have time, but it would be so enjoyable. Maybe I’ll just listen to a lecture or two. ;)

I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling worse. Staying up until half the night on Friday probably didn’t help. The payoff will be worth the investment of sleep, but not if it you don’t get better. :( Glad to hear you are getting some rest.

So you think staying up until 1:30 Saturday morning had something to do with my turn for the worse? Never!

The last thing I need is another commitment, I think, but I assume these are work at your own pace kind of things? I haven’t looked at them too much, but I might be able to squeeze in one a month.

If you’re up for that, I’m not partial to a beginning point. And it will give me something to write about at A Very Nearly Tea. :)

I have done a lapbook on “My Father’s Dragon” (although maybe that’s a little too old?). You could cut out animals mentioned in the book from magazines and match them up to what the boy gave them. Example – a lion and hair ribbons (we used real ribbons).

    Dana,

Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. Having been under the weather a fair bit myself, this fall, I thought you could use a bit of a pick-me-up. You can pick it up here:

I will check out the courses, as my oldest (11yrs) is very much an artist & I am not so much! Like you, I’m not looking for anything that involves a commitment. But a self-paced program would definitely be quite interesting…..

    Cheers!

I will have to show Marissa the photography classes… after Christmas. She dropped her camera and broke the lens. I replaced it as her one and only Christmas gift. So, I will wrap a list of links in a separate box. Shh… don’t tell!

Thanks for the link to the free art stuff, I’ll check into this!
